Arthritis: Spot the Symptoms

Arthritis is a painful degenerative disease of the joints that reduces your pet’s mobility, and unfortunately is common amongst cats and dogs. Any joint can be affected, but it is most common in the hips, elbows, shoulders, knees and back. Norbrook® have developed Carprieve Flavoured Tablets and Loxicom Oral Suspension for dogs and cats, which help to reduce the inflammation and pain caused by arthritis. Norbrook has also developed NorActive Plus, which is a convenient food supplement to help your dogs and cats maintain an active lifestyle.
Pet owners often miss the signs of arthritis as ‘laziness’, which can be an easy mistake to make when your pet is bravely adapting their lifestyle to disguise the signs of suffering.
Look out for the following symptoms:
- Limping
- Laziness
- Reduced agility
- Twitchiness
- Sleeping/resting
- Grumpiness
- Detachment
- More clingy
- Joint chewing or licking
